Southwest NEBB Chapter Member Awarded
George B. Hightower Award
Jim Bochat, a NEBB Certified Professional
at Commissioning Concepts, was presented
the George B. Hightower Award for his
distinguished service to NEBB at the
recent NEBB Annual meeting held in Bonita
Springs, Florida. Jim served as NEBB
President 2003 - 2004, was the
Chairman of the BSC committee from 1995
through 2009 and continues to teach the
Certified Commissioning course.
The George B. Hightower Award was
established to venerate outstanding
individuals who have served NEBB with
distinction, given their time and
talents, and proven their dedication to
NEBB and the future of our industry
through exemplary service. The award was
named for an extraordinary man.
Hightower had been instrumental with the
formation of NEBB programs since its
inception and through its subsequent
success and also served as NEBB's
President in 1974. The George B.
Hightower Award is NEBB's most
prestigious honor and is presented
periodically to people who have made
special contributions to the success of
NEBB.

AHR EXPO 2012
Jim Bochat, President of Commissioning Concepts, has been invited to speak at
AHR Expo 2012 in Chicago, IL on
Tuesday, January24, 2012 from 12:30
- 1:30 PM regarding Air
Leakage and highlighting the NEBB
Building Envelope discipline.
This presentation will cover how
whole building air leakage testing
is done and what standards are used.
The presentation will cover what the
Design Architects and Engineers need
to know to specify the tests and to
what standard their buildings should
be tested. The presentation will
also cover leak test methods to
determine where the envelope is
leaking so it can be repaired so
follow up testing can be successful..
